Guitar Lessons - Todd Grubbs

Todd studied at Berklee College of Music in Boston and locally at HCC. His music has been released worldwide to critical acclaim and commercial success. He has been featured in national publications and worked with such notable musicians as Derek Sherinian, Chris Poland, Blues Saraceno, Don Preston, Sean Malone, Mike Keneally, John Wesley, Mark Prator and many others.

Even with this busy schedule, Todd has maintained a consistent guitar lesson program. Teaching guitar actually may be his biggest talent! Some good players do not have the patience for private guitar instruction but Todd always has enjoyed working with people of all ages and truly enjoys teaching music.

Drum Lessons - Mark Prator

Drummer, Recording Engineer and Producer
Mark has an extensive touring, performing and studio recording background. After leaving Autodrive in the early 1990s He began working as a recording engineer for Morrisound Recording Studio in Tampa. Since then, he has earned a reputation for his work- as an engineer, drummer, and producer. He has toured with Sebastian Bach of Skid Row. He has also toured and performed with former White Lion front man, Mike Tramp and Scottish neo-prog legend Fish.
Mark is a sought-after session drummer and has performed on many album, commercial, and demo projects. In addition to his work as a musician, He has received producer credit for a long list of bands albums, including Tampa based metal band, Obituary. Mark is legendary in the Tampa music scene and is known as one of the areas top recording engineers. He has been teaching drums for the last 10 years and enjoys working with students of all ages and all levels. Mark also does recording clinics that cater to beginners as well as advanced clients.

Keyboard Lessons - Daniel Swartwood

Daniel Swartwood has been playing piano since he was 3 1/2 years old. He has a double major B.A. in Commercial Piano Performance/Electronic Music Techniques, and a Masters in Composition. Daniel has played professionally his whole life in a multitude of diverse situations and groups, from being on several tours,
sometimes as acting Music Director, to still currently being in high demand as a recording session keyboardist. Daniel can recently be heard playing on many tracks of Todd Grubbs latest CD offerings and other artists he produces.

Having taught piano/keyboards for over 27 years, Daniel is very proficient in all styles and teaching methods, such as: teaching all his students how to play "by ear", by traditional music notation, by jazz style lead sheets & chord symbology, and improvisation.
He is also available to teach popular professional music apps like: Ableton Live, Apple Logic Pro X, Finale, Sibelius, Notion, and many others.

In addition to teaching a very popular music lesson program full time,
Daniel is also into his 8th year as on staff principal Pianist/Keyboardist at First Baptist Church of Riverview.
